I've been working in the furniture trade for over 30 years and as a traditional upholsterer for 25. I studied Furniture and Upholstery restoration and conservation under Paul Tear MBE, John Hopkins and David James in High Wycombe. I also was fortunate enough to study German upholstery styles and techniques and study at the Ecole Boulle in Paris under Laurant Laine to learn French upholstery methods. This means I can teach you the right techniques for different styles and furniture origins. I've been running my business in leafy Buckinghamshire since 2007 with my husband Phil who is a furniture restorer and conservator.
I now teach 3 classes a week - passing on my knowledge and love for upholstery is my passion.
These classes are suitable for complete beginners and advanced upholsterers wanting to learn specific techniques. The classes are informal and great fun, with coffee and biscuits always on hand.
